At a live webcast on June 10 at Oracle’s Redwood Shores headquarters, Oracle CEO Larry Ellison is expected to announce the upcoming availability of Oracle Database In-Memory, which dramatically accelerates business decision-making by processing analytical queries in memory without requiring any changes to existing applications.
The announcement comes as organizations increasingly seek meaningful insight from high volumes of data in order to achieve competitive advantage. It marks the latest major innovation from Oracle, the database market leader for more than 35 years.
Real-Time, Ad Hoc Analytics
To drive faster, better decision-making, Oracle Database In-Memory uses a unique "dual-format" architecture to deliver outstanding analytical performance from a memory-optimized columnar store while automatically maintaining complete data consistency with transactions in the existing row format. The result: real-time decision-making on the freshest data with the fastest database performance.
